Default Back in love

Hi guys,
been having a few sceond thoughts about the S as i have been driving it all through the winter this year and have to confess to hating nearly every grimey, wet cold minute of it.I even thought about getting rid of the poor thing and getting something a bit better suited to daily driving.
But low and behold, the sun came out today so down with the roof and away i went.
Needless to say i immediatley remembered why i got the S in the first place. As i sat there blatting along a fast smooth A road i thought to myself, i cant think of another car i would rather be in, what a total transformation.
I know some people will defend the cars wet weather performance, but for me it just feels skittish and unstable and as i said i was having second thoughts about keeping it.
I now know i made the right decision and as long as it stays dry the roof is staying down as much as possible.
Roll on summer i realy cant wait.

I need to get my hard top off - it's been on for two months and that's long enough!

I had the exact same feelings over the last few months.

Sunday was dry & sunny. Washed, waxed and then out for a drive & all the issues were forgiven. Loved every second of it & made me remember why I fell in love with the car in the first place.

Still might need to get rid of it in Spring though, as the new commute is looking like a 60 mile round trip on the M4. Did the journey Friday & it drank a quarter tank of fuel. Might need to reconsider my options which is a shame. Ho hum.

Here's for more dry sunny days & getting out of the office early enough to enjoy a drive home alfresco

I must say that after the bad weather we have had for weeks, I really loved dropping the roof last Thursday on my way to work.

I have been driving to work with the roof down every morning since then. It makes it that much more bareable.

I only got mine towards the end of the summer, and I've actually been fairly pleasantly surprised with it over the winter. The cabin is nice and snug and warm with the roof up, and although the handling is an issue in poor weather, I've kind of got used to it now. Rear visibility in the dark when it's peeing down and trying to maneouvre is a complete lottery, mind.

How can I put it? Not anything like as bad as I was expecting it to be.

Only issue I have is turning up for meetings with my hair all over the place. So sunny days on the way TO appointments are deeply frustrating. Have to wait for the trip home.

That's why I keep my hair short! Plus it's easier than than blow drying it every morning

It's short-ish.

But I still look like Tintin when I get out after roof down driving.

I think there are limits. Sure, if its sunny, get the hood down even if its not the hottest. Personally, I love getting the hood down!

However, if its cloudy and you are wearing a coat you just look like a complete dick. It'll only be a matter of time before something gets poured on you.
