Default back from the rollers

well i finaly got my s2000 remapped on saturday it origanlly had 364bhp after dixon had fitted the rotrex supercharger kit,my plan was to leave it at that, but after seeing dixons pro76r exhaust,i had to have one, then i ordered an aem fpr,aem fuel rail, sos 3 bar map sensor and thought i might aswell get the restrictor opened up by 7mm.it was origanlly running 10psi,but now reads just short of 13psi

chris at efi-parts did the mapping,as he has mapped all the cars in the family so thought i might aswell let him loose on the s/c s2000 (also wanted to try out his new rollers)
anyway, the end result was 406bhp and 255 lb/ft of tourqe which i was very pleased with.i will get my graphs up asap

but for anyone whos thinking of getting there car mapped, chris comes highly recommended

http://www.efi-parts.co.uk/ he also runs one of the fastest fwd cars in the uk,so he knows his stuff

steve

I'm sure I've ordered a AEM wideband sensor from them before.

Why you stop at 8300rpm? You can push all the way to 9000rpm and you should get another 15bhp more

Great result by the way!

Thats a nice gain

What charger are you running C30 or C38? Mine is in need of a remap after fitting the PRO76S and I may have to give these guys a whirl

the limiter was left where you set it,he said/and it shows on the graph that the power drops off at 8400,so there was no point takeing it further

btw,how did you know that he didnt take it to 9000rpm

I am i missing something i see no graph.

On my setup the power doesnt dip off until 8800rpm, but before that at 8600rpm the torque starts to drop off.

Dixon is right though depending on setup every 500-700rpm is 1 psi of boost.

Because you said you had 406bhp and 255ft/lb of torque so 406x5250/255= 8358rpm.

Dixon that depends also on if its Hp vs Time etc, I know 5250 is where the torque should intersect the bhp on a graph, why does this give where he revved upto? (i know the maths points at just shy of 8400rpm) he could have revved further but power could have dipped off then depending on AFR/timing up top etc.

Horse power is calculated by that formula, so if he get 406 and 255 then thats mean he got that peak power at 8358rpm. He might have another 200rpm after the peak so should be around 8500rpm as there is not point to take it more after the dip.

Ah i see, but still a dodgy tune uptop could limit it though. I see what your saying he should make more boost and actually yeild bigger numbers depending if the tune it spot on, as said above my power dips off at 8800rpm
