Default battery

anyone know how much a new battery should cost from the stealers? anywhere better/cheaper to source one from?

i'm gonna have to go and get one soon-ish.

had to get the AA out yesterday as running the radio for an hour without the engine on while washing/polishing the car caused the battery to die

this is the third time this has happened - first time my neighbour gave me a jump (steady), 2nd time i got the AA out.

took my car to the stealers yesterday so they could check out the battery.

they said they checked it and it's fine - so they can't justify replacing it.

they recommended not using the radio with the engine off to avoid the battery dying.

i just feel that any car should be able to run the radio for a good few hours without the engine being switched on...

ah well - no radio when i'm cleaning/polishing the car now i guess

need to buy a wee radio for the garage!

Yep def. don't go to a dealers.

The batteries are not the holding their charge and are very small (read lightweight). Actually when I got one for my last S the guy at the battery place said, "Sorry sir we don't hold lawn mower batteries in stock, but I can get you one within 3 hours"!!!!!

When I told him is was for a car he laughed!!!

Tried to explain what an S2000 was and gave up he wasn't listening as he could not believe it so.

I agreement with other post, just go to Halfords - basically a battery is a battery, no advantage in getting an "official" one from the dealer.
