can anyone tell me what cc I can go upto in the lowest car tax braket and how much is the the tax per year?

Up to and including 1400 cc is lowest (assuming less than 4 years old)

There are a number of factors affecting the actaul tax (CO2 etc etc )

just had a quote for a one litre fiesta 85 model . 220 quid fully comp that with no ncb bonus as thats being used on my s2000.


280 quid third party

cheaper to go fully comp


just got to find a low cc beater car now group one or two

Anyone tell me a make of a good cheap beater, low cc and just needs to be driven 3 miles a day?

Smarts are about the cheapest fo all running costs, incl tax. Quite fun too. Obviously no good for more than 2 people (but no is the S)

You can get a good one, LHD, for very little cash.

Have a look here
They are just down the road from me, and I was thinking about getting one as a 2nd car. They do a well reknowned engine remap which makes them go well also.

yeah just looking at the web now, i reckon fiestas are a cheap bet plus the parts are cheap
