1.8i

You do know they only kick out 143bhp?

Hardly the kill of the century!

I raced an M3 new shape the other day, on accelerating from 40 mph on to a dual carriage way there was nothing in it at all. As we joined the dual carriage way I was infornt but had to brake as the Carridge way was busy, as he was behind me he was in perfect time to join the carriage way in a gap so he shot past me .

Beating the 330CI are good fun, i raced one off the lights, they will pull on you off the lights until you hit Vtec in 2nd and its game over for the BMW.

I must take the limiter off my JDM, I even beet a corvette the other day until my limiter kicked in at 113.

I had a run with an old M3 (E36 321bhp) a while back (when I had my S) and from 30-120 there was nothing in it, but I didn't gain anything. Can't see how the E46 343bhp would be slower...

Pick on someone your own size!
Well his fake exhaust pipe was the same size as my two combined - does that make it farier? Besides it wasn't so much beating the car I enjoyed but seeing Mr Boy Racer's face after I went past.

Last night I had a run in with 2 Beemers.

1) Driving through Camberley past the Tescos and onto the road leading to the M3 / Guildford (I think it's the A31 or something) I see an MGTF 190 (yawn) and a Z3 2.2i playing with each other. I close up and join the happy throng and we have quickly lost the MG.

So we pull up at a set of lights where he is in the middle lane, I am in the outside lane and something or other is in the nearside lane. At these lights there are signs saying that my lane merges into the middle lane after 200yds.

The lights turn green and we both go for it. Now he did get the inital lead, about half a car's length as I was well below 6k rpm and the engine showed this. However, VTEC came in sweetly and I just passed him by and then left him behind. I would have thought a 2.2 would have more umph than that.

So feeling happy in the knowledge of a sweet victory and sitting in the lane I needed to I cruise on up to the A31 into Guildofrd and come across a Z3 M soft top thingy. Not like Rob's Z3M coupe but the standard Z3 which looks like its been beefed up. He was up for a play and it was fun making space for each other, tearing along the roads. Not competitive just working together.

So this shows that BMW has the whole spectrum of drivers IMHO.
