bedding in
Im just after swapping my old knackered SO2's on the rear for some falken 452's.
I took it out of the garage and it was spinning at the slightest tap of the accelerator.
It was slightly greasy but does the bedding-in have any affect on the performance of the tyre?
I think ill be really dissapointed with the new falkens if this is the case.

Check pressures
Many new tyres have a "film" over them, should come off after a few miles.
Give it 100 miles or so, if it's still hairy then they could be poor tyres (why did you chose them btw?)

The tyres are coated in a release agent from the moulding process.
It wears off in a few miles, so go easy.
I also went sideways out of the tyre shop last week.
Funny as Im aware of it but it was totally impossible to stop it lol!

Tyres need gentle running for a few miles to get rid of the release agent and then some more "not so gentle" to heat cycle the tyre. I'm told this is to allow any "air" bubbles in the rubber to settle.? Or something along those lines.
