Default Best alternative to Dixcel disks?

I'm currently running a complete Dixcel 'fast road' setup, but my front disks are almost toast and I'm wondering what the next best alternative is (hopefully spending around half what the Dixcel disks cost) without compromising the balance...?

Is it safe to mix and matched

I ran some generic "noname" discs with the RA pads at a recent track day and they were perfectly fine.

Not sure you can compare Dixcel and some sort of eBay specials.

Hi mate, I appreciate that, just struggling to cough up 350 for just the front discs... so wondering if there are some decent alternatives. I plan to do the odd track day, but my car is mainly used for road driving and I'm not that hard on the brakes day to day.

Which exact discs and pad have you got now? You might find just using brakes international discs will be fine as long as you aren't using too aggressive a pad.

Thanks for the suggestion, are they available in the UK or did you order from USA / Japan?

Currently running Dixcel FCR discs with 'Z' pads.

Pads are in good condition, do you think they're too aggressive for OEM / brakes international discs?
