Default Better than new?

Visited the dealer today to pick up some touch up paint (Parts dept was closed -Grrr!. Well, it was 12.20 in the afternoon! )

Saw a brand new Silverstone in the showroom - nice! But after my efforts this afternoon, I think my Jan 2004 looks as good - if not better - than new. What do you think?

I did this with Autoglym bodywork shampoo & conditioner, then a mix of Autoglym Ultra for dark paint and Extra Gloss Protection in a ratio of about 70 - 30. This was a tip I picked up on the forum - thanks to whoever posted this!

The Ultra polish is way better than Super Resin - easier to remove and loads less white residue. It's more expensive, but it's worth it, I think.

You know you've got a *bit* obsessed when you find yourself cleaning the inside of the exhausts with a bit of 303!! Took about 2 hours start to finish (the whole thing, not just the exhausts!) Once I'd finished I took my little boy to Blockbuster to get a Star Wars DVD for him and I thoroughly enjoyed the reactions the car generated in the car park - talk about chav envy!!

Cheers all!

Very nice.

I'm certain if the current car is replaced, it is black I will have!

bugger, yes mixing it with the high gloss does help, you do know that leaving the high gloss on for a while does loads better as well.

Agreed, EGP is great if you leave it on, but I find it takes much of the day to wash, polish then gloss, not that I think there's anything wrong with that at all!!

Just got this pic off the camera - I like the shininess (is this a real word?) shown here.

Try doing it on an evening, wash, wax, and eveything else then apply extra gloss and stick it in the garage overnight. Then in the moring a quick buff off and its
