Bit Peeved & Fed Up with my 'S'
Hi all, just got my gearbox rebuilt after it was whinning in every gear and neutral, got it back friday night (£943)....just been out for the first ride after being away for the weekend and it catches/grinds the 3rd to 4th gear change 80% of the time.
Can the clutch be adjusted to take care of that or whoudl it be a syncromesh probem ? or a standard 'character' of this type of gearbox ?
I know i can phone the gearbox place back up but wanted your views...
Secondly...
I still get a hollow/booming sound from the rear when i say stay at a same constant speed, could it still be the diff ? the gearbox is silent. I have replaced the diff with a 2nd hand unit, but i'm thinking of getting the diff reconned too....next year when i have the 'spare' cash if there is such a thing.....could the prop shaft be causing this issue ?
Thanks for any help...Jorge if you out there i'll bell you to see if your know !
Thanks all.

What oil did they/you put in it? Ask then to try the Honda MTF fluid.. It's pretty good stuff. There are lots of other very good oils too.. They may have just filled it up with shite stuff, when your shifting from 3rd to 4th your moving relatively quickly so i'd imagine things are spinning quite fast in the box then.
