Default Black, Black, Black

I test drove a nurburg blue at the weekend. Nurb blue exterior / blue hood / black interior. What a great car Only problem was the test drive had to follow a prescribed route and due to traffic I never got to Vtec

Just how pronounced is the difference in acceleration when you hit the Vtec range?

I think I am just about decided that I will put an order in with Ferry at Verhagens for a nurburg blue ( was thinking of silverstone) but I would like to see a black S2000 'in the flesh' before I do this. Anyone know of a dealer with a black s2000 in stock?

Amethyst Honda in Cheltenham is my nearest dealer.

Also the dealer I test drove with said they would not service imported cars. Told me a story of how a lady turned up in a purple S2000 and they turned her away.

I assume, from the colour, they mean they will not service grey imports not new imports from Europe Any people on this board who have imported from Europe had problems with servicing?

A
I can not describe it, you need to experience the 'scalded cat' effect

Whatever you do, have a proper test drive, you wont want anything else

As for not servicing import cars?

CRAP - just trying to scare you into buying a car from him. Bear in mind that Dealerships live from Servicing cars.
If he did try to refuse to service your car, a quick call to Honda UK will get a big u-turn, but cannot see you being refused
Typical dealer talking crap to sell you a car

The salesman will not make any commission on the servicing. Try talking to the service manager direct. They may be reluctant to take on your car if they are too busy, but this would apply to a UK purchased car from another dealer as well. They make a lot of money from servicing and Honda pays them for the warranty work.

If you can wait a week or two, I have a black car due for delivery on Sat. 27th. As I will be trying to do as many miles as possible to get past the first 600 (the point at which you're able to use vtec) I'd be happy to meet you somewhere.

I'm in Wiltshire (near Marlborough) so I'm not too far away.

Well the kick is not as sudden as the old 2001 model I tested last year but it seems to get to 6k quicker.

Just keep the gears down and revs above 6k, you can then blast past cars at will. Not that I do it that often you understand.

No point in travelling at 4k when 8k will do.

Often.

My dealer has said that if I end up buying a new Integra Type R, they will be very happy to service it. The only proviso being that parts may cause a bit of delay.

Dealer was in Worcester. I didn't have the conversation myself. I test drove the s2000 as did my wife. The dealer mentioned it to my wife during her drive.

Incidentally, I saw a lorry carrying several hondas up the M5 this morning (near Worcester). There was one black S2000 on it but I couldn't get a good look because it was covered in the protective sheeting.

If anyone in that area has ordered a black S2000 you luck is in because it arrived today
