Sweet looking ride - have you got 18s or 19s?

Planning any mods?

19s.

I hear that the 18s are the "drivers choice", but the ride is still pretty soft compared to the S anyway plus it's a pimp mobile, and it had the 19s anyway - so that's what I have.

No mods planned - the only mod I have on the S is Lucid speaker panels - I tend to like things the way they were designed. I was tempted when I had the Mini, but with hindsight it would have affected the trade in if I had done anything.

Hi Alun,

Don't know if you'll want to do this but a company called DMS in Andover does a remap for the E46 M3 - which puts power up to 380bhp (albeit it's more of a top end gain). The work is undetectable and very good (we've covered a couple of conversions), and you can have the remapping removed if you're worried about warranty issues/reliability. No parts needed - they plug a laptop into your onboard diagnostic port and recode it from there. Go to www.dmsautomotive.com and check out the website.

Cheers

Matt

Nice car (despite my comments on the other thread), although I'd have that electric blue.

Are the 19's the same design as the 18's? Or are the 19's more common?

I planned a test drive yesterday for an m3 coupe. Went to the local bmw place, they gave me keys for m3 convertible.

The girl assure me her boss said its the virtually the same. I pointed out he knows sod all as it's heavier, slower, dif inside, handles diff and funny enough how many do you see racing round circuits if its the same !!!

I drove it anyway, complete crap apart for the engine. Skuttle shake etc !! She is bringing what I asked for originally to my office in the next few days for a long test drive .
