Can anyone please tell me where the bonnet pin switch is located, or better still a photograph please.

By the magic of bothering to do a search for "bonnet switch" I got 39 results.

At the front, near the air intake.

You won't find it on Honda diagrams as it was fitted as a UK extra on early cars.

It's the same as the door pin switch that operates the interior light, but the bonnet one is used for the alarm only

I had done a search thanks. I got 135 results, but having gone through the first page I could only find references to people talking about it, not actually stating where it was.
I'll go searching around the air intake again, as I couldn't just see it before.
Was starting to think it was built into the bonnet release catch.

It's on the left somewhere as you look at the car

On facelift cars, it is in the bonnet latch mechanism - 2 wires go to a little green plastic switch. Probably buried in grease and crap.

Thanks Unclefester. I guess the latch is coming out then.
Is that what the power connector to the right of the latch is for?

Yours is not a facelift car, its a 2000 according to your profile. so it should be front left of the air intake left of the latch.
But if the latch is coming out you may as well clean it up and re-grease it all as the springs have a habit of rusting.

I must have missed that info box when I set up my profile, so it defaulted to 2000.
Thanks for pointing it out. Updated to 2004.

You may find the switch just falls out the latch but yes, thats what the connector goes to.
