All the sound deadening equates to about 9kg if you fancy temporarily gutting carpets mate.

A/C? Lighter wheels? Lighter battery?

You need to see my monstrosity. It doesnt even have a loom.

Lee, i thought long and hard about it I really did. I must admit I've come very close to putting a smaller pulley on but...

1. I still have the stock clutch.
2. The biggest factor is I'm sick of travelling 40miles or more (1hr15mins) to my mates dyno to spend a shit load more cash renting the dyno and cost in fuel, then pissing about with it getting the tune right and then messing about on the road to get AFR bang on etc (which gets dangerous) unfortunately I'm a bit of perfectionist. It took a long time to get the GEMU silky smooth (as you know). Not only money but lots of time.
3. My GF is starting to get pissed off too

There comes a time when you get sick of messing about, the weight saving i can hack.

The weight saving should help in all aspects but I may get some lighter wheels and well as a few other bits and bobs. Already ordered a battery and making some radiator stays.

When you've gone from 240hp to 400hp, I'm sure losing 20kg is going to be a disappointment.

Our wheels arn't the lightest though bud so you could start there.

You're on OEM shocks arn't you? Get rid of them!

Or you trying to reduce weight without reducing your wallet?

I think the effect it will have on other areas will be beneficial too, esp the front end. Yeah agree on the wheels. Just gives me a wee project too. I'll spend money but not mega money. I have shocks that have covered around 25K now but with swift sport springs - they were around 1KG lighter than stock according to specs LOL.

I found with decent geo and the shocks/springs combo is isnt bad, when i gave it some on an airfield day.
