Hi Gaza!

But I suspect that wasn't the end of your post?

I must be pressing something funny on this keyboard, this is the second time tonight I've posted crap half way through!!

Anyway where was I?

Yes.............I've done a search on the remote boot release, as this is now really getting on my tits, and I can only find a couple, one was from me when I first got the car.

How many of you get yours to work (how do I put a poll on? or can that only be done by the administrators?)

I must only get mine to work about 10% of the time, and never when I really need it to.

It's a 2002 UK supplied, and I'm going to take it back, but I need to know if this really is a big problem with a lot of these cars, and is the later alarm better?

All thoughts welcome people............I'm on a mission!!

Gary, when you start a new thread, the option to post a poll is down at the bottom - you have to tick the box to say "Post a poll". It will then ask you to name the categories.

Mine works probably 7 times out of 10, as long as I press it within a second or two of disarming the alarm. Doesn't work if the alarm is already off.

At work? My god, no! Just doing a bit of last minute surfing before bed. I have an office job so it's not unknown for me to check the board in between tasks

Gaz,

My first S was a 2000 year car and the remote boot release worked probably 60% of the time.

I now have a 2003 year and it seems to work 95% of the time

Go figure!

We should have two polls

First one:
How confident you are in opening your boot from the remote, e.g. if you go and try now while on-line. What do you think the result be success or failure?

Second:
What sort of percentage do you have with opening the boot successfully from the remote overall.

If I tried right now I probably get a failure. When I do managed to achieve the boot opening I do get a buzz but overall I probably get a 20% success rate.

Tasks = his access to S2ki
`check the board` = his occupation.
