Can anyone tell me what is under the plastic covers right next to the bootlid either side? I tried removing the screw that is revealed when the boot is open but the cover wouldn't move, I thought the HT might be sat on it?

Oh well, still leading from near the hinge (but not over the rubber) and near the rear light cluster, car looks like its been repaired at some point so could be the reason the leak

Put sealer in key places, but so far, no joy!

Rather than use a metal coat hanger try a length of curtain wire. Its the stuff used to hang net curtains and is usually plastic covered. Just don't tell the missus and wipe it clean before re-hanging the nets! It's more flexible than a metal coat hanger and is unlikely to cause damage.

The water seems to be coming in where i have drawn the red line... But it's not coming over the rubber.

See if you still have the rubber strips glued up in under the rear qtr panels - about where the brushes are.
They stop water running off soft top when up, and missing the drain water trays below.
If they are gone (mine fell off and blocked the trough drain holes!) then water WILL find its way along the inside of the rear wings, into boot etc.

Other source from rear cluster area is following people replacing them but either not fitting the paper gasket
or damaging the paper gasket in the process.
Some have put later lights on there and if not sealed correctly they will leak.
Here the water is spray up under the botton corners that are inside the wheel arches, or wash water from around the boot lid.

Steve.

Just faffed around for a good hour, there's no way it's a drain problem, I can't get my arm far enough down the wing because the wheel arch is in the way, there's no rubber strips glued inside the wing, at least not this side of the arch and it's dry down there...

Reco2k have you had chance to have a look at yours yet? Both the insides of the rear quarters are quite wet but I'm positive that it's condensation because my rear lights are damp too, have tried water proofing the welds with sealer but it's still getting in, not loads but enough to fill that bit I marked in red up, I'm tempted to just stick the boot lining back on an forget about it.
