Bl**dy Hell M@v.... you just took my entire lunch hour

Seriously though, you've said some completely bang on stuff there. Still, although I don't know him, I have a certain fondness for Zero for so tenaciously mixing it with the Boxa chaps. Their superiority complex irks me too.

M@v mate, we really have to sit down and have a drink at SM3, you're absolutely on the nail
The number of Boxster owners who previously drove TTs speaks volumes to me. Too many loadsamoneys.

However, I too have a lot of respect for Zero and his one-man mission to rid the world of prejudice and misinformation among Boxster owners. Don't shoot until you see the whites of their eyes Zero.....!

I have to agree with a lot of what Mav says. (even though I had to have a little dig )

But remember we are all just human.

In fact I'm thinking about putting it on a new thread.

Hmmm,
That's always been my problem. I've always been a bit gullible. I tend to believe any old crap that I'm told.
Still....

But, he was driving a Porsche, he must have been speeding........

Seriously though - shouldn't he appeal? He'll get a different judge and it'll get overturned in an instant - no evidence for speeding so he can't be convicted on that basis. Any law type people care to comment, Mark T, calling Mark T to the bench......

Thanks MarkB

It just winds me up when the car get's slated by people with no first hand knowledge

I guarantee if most of the various muppets who criticise the Honda for having bad handling actually were put behind the wheel of a successful racing car they'd most likely stack it into the tyre barrier and blame it on the 'handling'

It a generally accepted fact that for most drivers understeer is the safest and easiest handling characteristic to respond to. The reaction is to lift off and in practically all cases it's the correct thing to do. It's a no brainer....go into corner too quickly, turn wheel, car goes straight on...lift off....regain grip and round the corner you go unless you really have over-cooked it

The Honda requires a certain level of skill in order to drive it quickly....and when things get close to or on the limit some brain activity is required and some finesse with the controls

In the 21st century does a car need to understeer first at the limit in order for it to be regarded as a good handling car?

Hmmmm

I'd be very wary about accepting this account on face value. Either this guy is somewhat playing down his portion of blame (Not uncommon) or this is the biggest magistrates cock-up I've heard of ( Not uncommon) in a long time. Usually the Clerk Of The Court is there to ride shot gun on this sort of nonsense. Looks like a bad day all round. He should definitely appeal... if it's true!

Very odd. These cases don't go to Crown Court. He could be represented by a barrister at mag' court if he wished, but it's not that usual.

What get's me is that with all the little comments about the S having too much oversteer and spinning etc., no one has mentioned the fact that Tiff (a pro) spun out big time in the boxster on 5th gear.
