Hi,

Cleaned the car inside and out and wanted any excuse to go out for a drive with the top down, so sets off to the shop for some bread and milk which is a 2 minute drive, but always seems to take me at least half an hour for some reason. On the way back I come off the dual carriageway, and what do I see?

It could have been a scene from Top gear, a black 3.0 Z4 and a Boxster S on a 03 plate. The Z4 and the Boxster are already side by side at the red light. There

to be honest I had a run with a 2.7 Box and it was nip and tuck to be honest.......

somone on boxa.net had their 2.7 dyno'd and it was up on the Porsche official figures with no mods....I think Porsche are conservative with their performance figures

Same with Ferrari I believe......Testarossa official 0-60 is 5.8secs but at Top Gear live some years back we were doing consistent low fives by holding on to 1st and going into the red

Anyone had their S2000 dyno'd?

Interesting write up.

I've always thought they should be a little quicker in a straight line, but there's obviously not much in it, and what there is you more than got back on the corners.

How did the Porsche look in the twisty bits and under braking? Much roll?

when i had the boxster s i found it to be a little nervous at the front under heavy braking in the wet. There was absolutely no weight at the front of the car and on one wet track day the ABS triggered on every time i pressed the brake. I think that maybe the brakes were maybe a little over eager to lock at times. On the road they were faultless but i never had to use them to theis full potential
