Brake bleeding Sequence
Hi All
Ive been trying to find the brake bleeding sequence for our UK cars.
Ive searched and search but found conflicting answers.
There seems to be definitve answers for US cars but not UK.
US i think is RF, LF, LR, RR.
Uk seems to be either RL, RR, FL, FR or FR,RR,RL,FL
Whats the actual right way then??
Cheers All

I was always taught that you start with the bleed nipple furthest from the master cylinder and finish with the closest, and thats what I have always done on all cars.
Therefore standing at the front of the car it would RR, LR, FR, FL.

If in doubt start at the caliper furthest from the ABS unit and work round the car ending with the one closest to it. This normally works OK if you are doing a fluid swap. Test the brakes afterwards to be sure

Ok, makes sense but
if it was furthest from master cylinder wouldnt that be Rear Left, Rear Right, Front Left And finally Front Right. I thought our master cylinder is on the left handside of the car.

Straight from the US shop manual:
Front Left
Front Right
Rear Right
Rear Left
Their (got this before the grammar police checked in!) master cylinder is on the left, so transpose as necessary:
Front Right
Front Left
Rear Left
Rear Right
Front Left
Front Right
Rear Right
Rear Left

have always done it furthest-nearest on other cars. Mine had it's 3 yr service the other day - no sign that the wheels were removed - can it be done with the wheels on with the the S?
