Default Brakes

Just throwing this out there. How much should I expect Honda dealer to charge for fitting/replace rear disks/pads and passenger rear caliper. The parts dept were very competitive for OEM disks and pads. Caliper I will need to source from Europarts or as suggested here Brakes international..

Brakes international was much cheaper than euro car parts for fronts, not sure about rears.

Nice one. Any ideas on how I can get a seized calliper moving without doing anything drastic like taking the wheel off ;-)

Rear passenger calliper was sticking just before I sorned car. It's completely seized now. I did try moving the car but I could feel it wasn't going to budge with brute force..

Don't bother, it'll just re-seize.

I've had to replace all mine, it's common on the s2k.

Buy refurbs from brakes international...I just bought fronts @ £60 a corner. Tears will be slightly more but still relatively cheap.

Problem is I need to get the car to the dealers. Do you recommend replacing callipers on both sides at the rear?

Always matey. You'll need to buy new disks and pads too.

You can try and force the piston back with a screwdriver but you'll need to take the wheel off to do so. It will only be a temporary fix but buy you enough time to get to the dealer.

It's a pain, I've had to replace all 4 of mine in 4 years of ownership...not cheap.

You can free up a caliper but will need to take off the wheel

You'll probably destroy the pads knocking them out and then you can wind the piston out and clean it and the pins

I have had my rears start to stick and a thorough clean and new seals has sorted them, thats all BI do really, maybe replacing the pistons in extreme circumstances

BI calipers don't come with Pistons, just new seals .
