Broken roof catch
Well, this morning is a beautiful day, so I decide to drop the roof down. I undo the roof catches and re-lock them in the correct position, except that the passenger side one does not want to lock.
I look at it and there is a little bit of metal loose in it. Visit to Honda in my lunch break I think.
In one of the busiest week I have!
Is it fairly common? Wear and tear?
I hope it will stay water tight as it seems to still catch and squeeze the seal. It is just that it does not take much to undo as it does not lock any more.
Just found out that there are storms forecast for tonight.
I cannot move the Escort that is in the garage, to make space, as I cannot physically drive it. I don't even know how to start it as it is not your standard Escort. May have to put the cover on for the night.

Sylvie I room in my garage if thats any good! can keep it in there if u want.
The problem is I have no car to get home once mine is in your garage and Chris is away. So I will see what happens between now and Friday. If it is not fixed by Thursday night we may take you up on that, as we are away for the weekend. Mind you, by then Chris should be able to move the Escort and make some space.
Will have to see what today brings.
Ian, no pics yet. I am at work and my SD card at home. Cannot take picture and transfer it here until I get home. But a part is definitely broken and is now sitting in the cup holder for inspection. It is barely bigger than a 5p coin. Obviously was well greased at the recent service (yuk!).
