Default Buying an 'S'

Hi All,

I am getting closer to buying an 'S' (couple of months or so) but I was wondering what sort of 'S' is the best to go for. For example I get worried about buying an import, etc. I have thought about a second hand one, but fancy a new one.

I have heard that there was a change, like a updated version - this is what a dealer told me, although he was not sure when the changes had taken place or exactly what changes were made. Does anyone know what the complete list of changes were ?

I am looking at Silverstone / Black, I have seen (due to a previous thread) that showroom4cars.com can sell you onefor 1800 quid less than the retail price, but if you go to hondas-uk they will sell you this for 22295. But it's an import, my brother in law has an imported MR2 and he has trouble getting bits for it, everything has to be dealer sourced ie light bulbs for example, and I am keen to aviod the same issue.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

The revisions were made to the 2002 model, and primarily consisted of replacing the plastic rear window with a glass pane and "tweaking" the geometry settings so that back end break-away became more progressive.

There is no difference at all between a UK sourced car and a parallel European import save that the latter does not come with a CAT 1 alarm and immobiliser (cost to add -

Paul, I despair that I bought last year rather than this year - there was not one single car up for sale when I was looking, with the result that I spent much more than I needed to

Anyone buying now is spoiled for choice..........

Don't forget to read the tech faq which will answer quite a few import questions, as well as what to look for if you buy second-hand.

I've been looking around as I may have a buyer for the Subaru - fingers crossed. The dealer prices are sky high at the moment, with nothing coming in under

If you get the VIN off a car then you can phone Honda U.K. who will tell you whether the car is U.K., E.U. sourced or unknown to them (i.e. from a non E.U. country).
