Default Calliper paint problem

As some of you might know I had applied folia tec calliper paint bought from Hellfords and decals from the US. I went on a track day recently and it is not good news. The paint has burned on the edges where the heat must have been far greater than the rest of the callipers. The fronts are black and look very burned and so do the rears. The o/s rear also has the paint burned but also cracked. A small piece has come away and you see the metal of the calliper underneath. I need to find a better paint or try and get them powder coated instead. The decals surprisingly have had no adverse affect on them.

silly question, but are you sure some of that isn't just brake dust? aside from the bits that have fallen off of course

A little bit of dust sure but the car was washed yesterday. Have a look at the last pics. That shows you how bad the buring really is. That isn't dust at all just black paint.

I have noticed how hot the S's brakes get on a good hammering through the countryside, so I can't imagine how hot they get on a trackday and I can easily believe that the paint got fried!

OT But I remember when I set fire to my old S3's brakes, scared the hell out me

Just do a few without washing in between and you'll save some
