Default Car Delayed!!!

Let me tell you, these past 5 months have been absolute hell!

I had a race against time to cut down four fruit trees to make room for a garage, cement the drive, get a garage built and get the pavement lowered!

Now that it's all done I was expecting to get my car last week but now it's delayed! I ordered it from Honda Verhagen and he is being very nice about it and keeping me informed and has thrown in a free car cover too.

I should be able to get my car by the end of this month (fingers crossed) and can't wait to join you guys on the next meet.

Anyway I just thought I should share this with you guys!

Sorry to hear that your fun has been put off for another couple of weeks Still I know what it is like, mine was also delayed and the waiting drove me mad At least you managed to get you garage fininshed (wise move IMO, these cars certainly attract some attention!).
Still all good things and all that jaz: you'll just enjoy it that much more when it finally arrives, plus the weather should be even better with less chance of rain, so plenty of trips with the hood down.
Stay cool and the weeks will fly!

God knows what Honda Belgium are up to.

Here's to getting ours soon!

Thanks for the support guys.

Ade - Ferry didn't mention any specifics apart from that there was a delay at Honda Belgium - they are up to their necks with cars and get them out quick enough.

I suppose a couple of weeks won't kill me...

...I hope it just is a couple of weeks...

Ferry's dealership is Dutch. Do all Euro cars come through Honda Belgium then

No idea, Pete

I was having a rant at Honda Europe in general

Probably wholly undeserved, but made me feel better.

Mine took 2 weeks short of 9 months so there's always someone worse off than you. Apparently there was some balls up in Japan with mine, and the car I actually got was a few weeks ahead of the eventual scheduled delivery.

I understood that all mainland European deliveries from Japan go via Antwerp in Belgium - this may even apply to UK supplied cars as apparently the car I was given was originally destined for a UK Honda dealer, who didn't need it that month.

It was certainly a kosher car as when I picked it up from the Port it still had plastic and paper over the trim and had just 13 miles on the clock (14 days later this is 1400 miles ........ and due to rise by another 1500 in the next few weeks).

Pete, Alun is right. All car destined for any country in Europe arrive in Belgium first. Apparantly my car is in Belgium and is awaiting delivery to Holland. Then I have to wait another week for the pdi and the optional extras to be fitted.

I remember Mrsoften got his car from ferry after waiting 7 months (approx) - but who knows? I just don't want him to hurry my car and then bodge up the job when fitting the hardtop and body kit!

Anyw I have everything crossed!!!

I'm still waiting for a euro import and have just been informed that although my car is at the euro dealer, Honda are having some problem with the oil in these cars and an inspector coming from Japan!? has to check each car before the dealer can release the car.

This might be the reason for the delay's mentioned above?

David.

For those still waiting, hope it rains, for those who have one already I hope the sun continues to shine!
