Good news then.
Are they saying that the roof will eventualy have a heating element when they've figured it out?
It's really useful to have. Can't see the point in having a glass screen if you can't look through it...
I'll be waiting a while yet then. I've still got my hard top on as the hood is still slashed to pieces.

Any DIY guides Chris?
I've got the time and a spanner friendly mate ..

It's just the whole .. "where does this bit go?"

Was never any good at meccano .. Lego was easy when you had instructions ..
Buy the workshop manual off of e-bay mate, its all in there.

Just to warn you, you will need to remove ALL interior trim from behind the seats to the boot! Including Roll bars, secret compartment/glovebox.

It does sound that way

It would be good to hear from some 02+ people how important the heated screen is....

I fitted an 05 roof myself a few months ago and have wired the heater in, problem is I have never had cause to use it. In winter I will have my HT on, if it does get misted up then put the AC on to dehumidify.

If I had a glass screen with no element I wouldnt mind so much, but an element not connected to anything (whether I intended to use it or not) would irritate the hell out of me.

I would urge a few more peeps to save

Tried to find some DIY guides. There are none, honestly your best bet is the work shop manual.

I've not posted a DIY guide yet as I have a minor issue to over come. Once done, I'll post it up.

I thought the 800 odd quid was inclusive of fitting?
Honda only charge 1350 quid fitted for a new one.
