Because a whole days training with a Formula 1 test driver is not to be sniffed at!
Back on topic!
Andy changed my daily driving style completely ( I've done ~35k/yr for 15 yrs)
I've been twice and learnt new stuff each time. I also have his DVD to act as a reminder. Just wish he had somewhere up North to do his sessions!

I am not Andy Walsh's biggest fan. i.e. I think his teaching style leaves a lot to the imagination. He may be an excellent driver but I found his teaching style not the best suited to myself and a good instructor should be able to determine how to get the best results out those he / she is teaching.
However I did pick up some information that I still use now and the experience was very good. On an initially wet day, doing the "how fast can you go round the left hand bend" I was originally spinning the Elise at 55 - 60mph and by the time the morning session finished I was doing the same bend at over 90mph (of course the track dried somewhat over the 2 hour period).
As for the timed coned session I was pleased to say that I was only 4 seconds off his pace in my car (whilst Jo was 6 seconds)
not bad considering he has driven Elises for a lot longer than I have and he does those training days a good few times (like 100 or so he was saying) each year.
