Default Carpets

Has anyone experienced problems with their carpets buckling / lifting up from the floorpan on drivers side, between the seat and box section? The cars only 6 weeks old and the dealer has told me its where the alarm is fitted, but if I'm not happy then they will have another look at it. To be quite honest I think thats a load of BxxxxxKS......

Can't say I've noticed anything. Mine's about 9 months old.

You do get a bit picky when the car is brand new though! Every stone chip is a crisis, if you know what I mean.

A large black alarm control box and numerous cables are fitted under the drivers seat when the S arrives in the UK. The carpet is not preformed/precut to allow for this, so it doesn't lay flat. If you've had Honda mats fitted by the dealer then this disturbs the carpet's lay even more - as you describe. I was tempted to use doublesided tape on mine, but in the end fitted a fire-extinguisher there and that solved the problem.

On another note, my floor mats were rather dirty so I put them in the washing machine on a gentle was, they came out a treat.
