Dosent the MAP sensor sometimes caus the CEL to come on?

Any of the sensors can cause this.

Best bet would be to take it to your friendly Stealer and pay them half an hour labour to retrieve the fault code, then you will know why.

Shame you can't do the paper clip CEL reader as on other Honda's, or can you

I did the paperclip the other day .. no problems.

Found out it wat the MAP sensor and then gave it a clean and a tap .. right as rain.

The only time I have had a CEL was on a trackday when I spun it and stalled it too. For a long time I fretted over it in the pits but in the end I just reset the thing. I must have done something wrong but not sure what.

I spent an age looking on here, taking the dash apart, and experimenting.

When you get the flashes, compare them to the FAQ errors

Thumped the MAP sensor a couple of times and disconnented and reconnected the ECU.

It seems to have fixed the problem ....... for now.

Like the engineered scientific approach there Steven

Rahula - probably didn't drop the clutch quick enough and it ran backwards. Bet it didn't restart straight away either!
