Default CG-Lock

Anyone got experience of this CC-Lock?

Seem like a good idea although a UK price from UK is somewhat more....

Our cousins across the pond seem to love em!

Can you buy from the marketplace as there doesn't see to be any UK shipping options?

P

PS - not for me, my GF is very petite (not small note!, she may be reading) and complains about getting thrown around.

I think Craig, LL, and someone else bought one to use on trackday.

Thanks - they look like quite a good idea? Not sure about the UK price though!

Holds you very firmly across the waist dependant on how tight you adjust it, it does not hold your shoulders back though.

I've got one and keep forgetting about until usually the last session on track days

It's OK and does improve things a bit (the S's seats are shite on track IMHO) but don't expect miracles.

I think the price is way too much as well, about half would be reasonable.

Personally I just snap the seatbelt into place on trackdays and it holds me very well. Problem is that it can take a few tries to get it to work.

Yep, I've got one, use it on track days (like Graham, when I remember to put it on ) It's actually quite quick to install / de-install, provided you don't drop the little allen key required down the side of the seat.

As has been said, it basically helps to keep your bum planted in the seat, which makes you feel a lot more secure, giving you more confidence in the corners. It can get quite awkward trying to negotiate a corner whilst hanging on to the steering wheel and bracing against the transmission tunnel! It goes a long way to helping with that. Don't expect it to feel like a 5-point racing harness, though...

I like my CG-lock for track day work It's possible to clatter the interior panel when closing the door with it attached so its not an every day device, but it gives you much better feedback through your butt (ooh err missus) on the track.

Not quite sure how Rahula is "snapping" his seatbelt into place??

Get in car

Put on seatbelt

Pull it really tight

Give the shoulder belt a very quick sharp tug so it locks in place

Voila, a shoulder and lap belt which hold you firmly in place and free.
