Changes to MOT

Looks like the end of decats or reduce cats now.
Not just an emissions issue any longer.
Any missing oem emissions gear will be a major fail.
And it reads (to me) that they will be looking for a result VERY close to the type test emission data for the vehicle under test.
Might make some heavily modified cars un MOTable.
The forced induction S2000 being a point in case...
A quick glance at that lot and lots of us could be in trouble if the UK takes up all of these options. Noticed that even suspension Geo is suggested that it should be within OEM tolerances.
The cost of MOT's could go up significantly also adding this lot in.
Wasent there a suggestion recently that the Mot should be bi-annual ?

They'll end up doing what the do in France where they plug a computer into the OBDII whilst doing emissions etc and the results are uploaded directly to the government's iron brain.
Not good.
Not good.
Looks like they're going to have to hook up your car to a daignostic reader too. Item d.

Sorry for the language but for god sake. 20 years from now we'll all be driving electric cars anyway!!!!!! And emissions will be a thing of the past.
