I was sure that I had seen a good guide with pictures to change the front pads and discs - I have given the forums a good search but without success, if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be appreciated

What search terms did you use? I only ask because we're thinking of writing a simpler search guide than the one that exists https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=600732 , and knowing where people are going wrong would help.
