Default Changing out interior?

Spoke to S20004U yesterday (looking to buy) and they have a black one in that sounds nice, but its got black leather. The chap said he could change the interior to red if need be??? I imagine that would be rahter involved?

Not my cup of tea as I dont like messing around, but can it easily be done?

The seats are very easy to door, I imagine the doorcards are as well. As for the rest of it I would think that is quite involved.

can it be done, yes.

Easily, probably not TOO bad, especially if you just want seats, door panels, carpets.

Dash would be harder I guess.

So is it full red or half red you are after?

Finding the parts (for a decent price) might be difficult too. Even 2nd hand those seats go for a lot.

If the guy is saying can be easily changed, challenge him to show you how and cost.

For the record... get a nice combination of red/black interior. Seat centers red with seat sides red.

if this guy has a fleet of s2000s as mentioned in another thread, then he's probably gonna just swap the bits out of one of the others...

tell him you want one black seat and one red one...

Sounds like that could be Steve54's old car if it is an X reg one - he is a member here so you could PM him if you are interested in it for more info.

Doing a full red conversion would be quite difficult as you would need to remove everything, including the roll bar covers. If it's half red/ black you're after it's wouldn't be too hard, lots of people in the main forum have done it.

sounds like the kind of thing s20004u would do leading on from their four marks carriage company days when they got done by trading standards for clocking cars. if they are prepared to swap interiors around, doesn't that make you concerned about what other 'work' they do to cars they sell?

nothing like buying a pure, unadulterated car. i know that if i found out that a car i bought had had the interior swapped i would not be happy.

a full change would be a nightmare as Neil says Roll hoop covers, dash, the lot!
Seats and door cards are easy though!
