Default changing a side light bulb?

I have the workshop manual but havent bothered to check yet. Do i change it from underneath the wheel arch or lift the bonnet and change it the normal way? this seems really tight... the wheel arch method would make more sense on a compact car like this...

Enter through the wheel arch!

Dont you have to remove the bumper to get to the lights?

By 'side light bulb' Do you mean the sidemarker bulbs?

If so these install instructions will help you...

If I've misinterpreted your post just ignore.

Good point put well.

Do you mean the indicators on the front of the car next to the head lamps OR the side indicators by the S2000 badge?

So do you mean the Side Lights that are at the front but to the side of the headlights in the front light cluster?
or do you mean the side indicators on the wing or the side markers on the fender (Yanks), beside the S2000 badge that is if you haven't taken it off as many have then this will cause even further confusion more so if you have like me taken the Honda badge off which is located originally above the S2000 badge and therefore by association could be used to described the location of the Side Light/Indicator/Side Marker located on the Wing/Fender near the previously mention badges or not as the case may be
or do you mean the side lights which are next to the brake lights, close to the reversing light in the rear light cluster on the back although to the side.

Sh!t the guy only asked about a bulb!!!!

Wheel arch!

Jack it up. Remove the wheel. Unclip the plastic wheel arch cover.

Only one option as far as I can see. Trade the car for a new one.

You don't need to jack the car up or take the wheel off.

If you turn the steering to full lock you can undo the clips and pull the wheel arch liner far enough back to get at the bulb holder.

It's an advantage to have small hands to get in there but then you need to have strong fingers to turn the bulb holder to unclip it.

I did mine the other week - I also found it easier to unplug the wiring from the bulb holder.

If you have a look you'll see what I mean.

The first side took quite a while but the other side was easier and the first side was even easier the second time!!! - make sure you have plugged the bulbs in correctly and tested them before you put everything back together.

Chris.
