Default Changing side light bulbs

I, ve bought a set of ultra trendy side light bulbs (they are not a shitty colour don't worry)
Just a better clearer bulb.

For the life of me i dont have an idea how to get into the headlight.
Anyone able to help??

James, you need to turn the wheel full lock to one side and carefully pry off the clips holding the hard rubber panels inside the wheel arch behind each headlight, obviously do this from both sides. I did mine entirely going off the instruction manual which is pretty concise! Once you get the rubber lining off its pretty tricky but do it in daylight and have a good lookie at what needs to be done and you will get the idea!

The end result:

Hyperwhite LED sidelights (look alot less blue and alot more white in person)

And silvertec indicator bulbs, obviously they flash amber!

Its worth the hassle

Sorry I just noticed, yours wont look quite as sexy due to the tacky chrome in your 02+ headlights

I fitted new indicator and side light bulbs myself a week ago. When you pull out the wheel liner after removing three trim lugs, give the trim a good tug so that most of it pops out from the leading edge of the wheel arch. That little extra play made it much eaiser to fit the bulbs. I was disappointed by the Philips bluevision side light bulbs TBH, still yellow to my eyes. Luckily they were free with the main beam bulbs I bought a couple of years ago.

Phillips bluevision are a joke, they looked completely yellow to me also

LED's are the only way to go to match xenons really... Ill need to go through the hassle of replacing the standard sidelights for a day come MOT time though

I asked Phillips about this.

Apparently the blue is because when the sunlight is on them they show up blue. Not because of the in-use colour.

I've just bought myself some more LED sidelight bulbs. Had them on my MY03. Absolute pain to get to tho!!

However, I see on the MY04 it should be a bit easier!

WHere can you get the LED side lights from guys?

Actually, can we have a shot of the car with just the side lights on, in the dark? They don't look too bright to me. I'd be interested to know what the LED spec is (sadly my recent interest in torches means I know my 5mm from my Luxeon III U bins )
