Time number 6 though, he sped past me leering out of his side window and grinning right up until the moment he smashed into the back of the quarry lorry.

Priceless.

I would have stopped and taken a few photos whilst laughing just to annoy them some more.

^This.. as well as giving the lorry driver a witness statement/contact details.. nice to see karma in work though!

Not had the roof down enough times to receive any hostility yet, but living in an area full of posers hopefully I won't have those issues!

I tend to expect it driving with the roof down in arctic conditions. I have to admit that people driving with the roof down in winter often look very smug, which is annoying. But either way, abuse is just out of order.

I'll only have my roof down if the sun is out, doesnt matter too much about the temp.

If it had been anything other than a HUGE quarry thing I would have been only too happy to have been a witness. It looked like the chassis of the quarry tipper thing was made of 2 almighty RSJ's.

There was a hint of some white paint on them but other than that, I'm surprised the guy in the lorry even noticed..

I had a load of verbal from a couple of blokes in a van early one chilly morning at a set of lights. I had the roof down when he pulled up in the inside lane. He looked at me and shouted "effing c u n t" at me.

I looked at him for a minute and said............"I'm in a sportscar, you're driving a van...and I'm the c u n t ? "

Luckily for me the lights changed, he didn't look pleased......

You have to wonder.
Had I been alone I would have buried him in my boot, no messing.
As the car is for sale, a write off is timely and easy for me.
So anyone else fancy tailgating, have bit of a think about the state of mind of the driver in front...
It's tempting but I think there is some bad experience of this on here...

Regarding your encounter, this kind of bloody minded tosser his highly visible right now.
It seems a funtion of the recession and the poor losers in life are rightly struggling along.
yes, they are everywhere

looking for an opportunity to be angry

I had something similar with a lorry not so long ago

moved into the inside lane as the queue was shorter

has absolutely no effect on him

but he still thought it was necessary to try and mate with my rear bumper

what goes on these people's heads?

like I'm going to be frightened of someone who drives a lorry and has a couple of tats?

ffs I'm more likely to give them my spare change out of pity

The most eloquent way in which to respond to such passing greetings, is to raise ones trilby and proffer a cheery "and a good day to YOU, sir!".

The scallywags will be so bowled over with your conduct that they cannot fail to be mindful of such when next they choose to hail a passing chap.

....or, they'll throw rocks. More fool them, I say!
