Default this clay stuff really does work!

Just spent 2 hours on the car, wash, rinse, dry, the meguiar quik clayed it which has worked very well but the lube left smears. now it is so hot out there you see the lubricant / detailer steam off when you spray it on...

quick lemonade break and it will get a polish, going to have to do small bits at a time in that heat.

Am most impressed with the clay. for the money its a bargain. I really could notice the before and after diffence to touch..

Should be shining like a mirror soon

The Meguiars Quik Clay is indeed very good - make sure you post some pics when you have finished polishing so we can all point and go 'oooooohhhh aaahhhhhh'

Polished Berlina Black is the way forward

Clay method. (Lehm-klay = Claybar)

[QUOTE]1. Spray Lehm-Lube evenly onto a one square foot section.
2. Work Lehm-Klay with a light pressure until the surface becomes smooth and silent.
3. Rinse your car thoroughly again; Towel or chamois it off, then Towel it dry.

Lehm-Klay should only be used it you are confident with it

What wax etc. did you use after the claying?

I've never clayed before but plan to over the next week or so if the weather holds!

I used the following:

Autoglym body smapoo conditioner
Meguiars quik clay (inc the detailer you get in the box)
Autoglym super resin polish
Autoglym extra gloss protection
Autoglym bumper care (on the roof)

I know autoglym are no longer trendy or expensive but for what I can afford I find they do a great job. have used it for years.

Every now and then I use turtle wax black which I find works wonders on any scratches that would normally get filled white. Again, not cool and trendy but works for me.
