Unhappy Cleaning Alloys with Toothpaste !

Someone has recommended me toothpaste to clean my alloys. My alloys are quite bad and scuffed and dirty, I really dont think toothpaste would help.

Has anyone ever tried toothpaste or am I going to have a go and look like a wally ??

This would probably do well, toothpaste can be fairly abrasive though, might I suggest a citrus degreaser and a good brush?

Toothpaste is pretty good but the silica gel is abrasive so don't go rubbing like a madman!

My old man manufactures Aquafresg back in SA and the use the un-used batch excess to clean quite a bit of the equipment. Factory smell minty fresh ;D

I suspect you may get less than desired results with citrus degreaser on teeth .

Where's my ramps?!
