Default Cleaning the boot lining

Hi
Has anyone tried to thoroughly clean the boot lining?
Managed to spill some clean oil into the tool well and having trouble getting it back out. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions to deep clean the 'carpet'

Don't think a vax will get in the little recesses under the tool kit.
Thinking more scrubbing brush and something to rinse (?)

Take it out? From memory it's only held in with a few plastic plugs.

Easy to dry then?

+1 for G101, a scribbing brush and a good hose down. Strip it all out (its super easy, just a few push fit plugs.

Leave it to dry in a well aired location, and then fit it all up.

I normally use proper body bags these days as it stop the [ahem] "oil" from ruining the boot, rolled up carpets were just too messy.

Did you not try the shower curtain method?

May be better to remove / clean then refit before its dry so that it retains its shape .

I've known carpets to dry out of shape when removed for cleaning and then not fitting when dried.
