Default Clearing fault code Bristol

Posted recently about a hesitation problem I've had. Many suggested MAP sensor. I have a new one on the way but do I need to get the fault code/engine light cleared off the ECU. Bristol Honda obviously will charge me to do this anyone near Bristol fairly decent and not too expensive that can do that?

Disconnect the battery for 30 seconds after the MAP has been changed

Any stored codes will clear. If it hasn't been fixed, the CEL will come back on.
