Clutch
Hi all,
In need of a Clutch for my S2K. I have seen this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-H...0AAOSwC-JbRTEB on Ebay. Price and condition seem good (could get more off aswell). i contacted the seller he said it had around 15k miles on it. What do you guys think?
Thanks

I can see the temptation at around half the price of a genuine brand new clutch kit.
The problem is you have to take his word that it has only done 15k miles, so he/she probably made up that mileage to improve his/her chances at a sale.
If your doing the job yourself then it may be worth a punt, as you can revisit it anytime if the clutch bearing is no good etc.
If your paying someone to do it, I would get a brand new genuine kit. Do the job once fit and forget.
Labour isn't cheap, so with things like this, always get trusted proven parts.
I did my clutch last year and got the kit from here, very well priced when compared to coxmotorparts and tegiwa

Hope it helps.

I wouldn't use that even if I got it for free, it will probably fail in the next 15k miles.
If you are looking for an OEM style that is good
https://www.balladesports.com/produc...000-clutch-kit
My buddy has this in his car and it works perfect
I have the more expensive version of this
ACT HD Pressure Plate.
ACT Clutch Alignment tool.
Honda OEM Clutch Disc.
Honda OEM Pilot and Release bearings.
Buy some OEM Honda Grease a well and Lube it up
I would also just get a Stainless Steel Braided Clutch Line they are cheap and you won't have to worry about your line for a long time
I personally run the ACT and I love it but 2 of my buddy have the balladesports and they love it so up to you.
Both have 0 clutch buzz tho; T

Never, ever buy a used clutch. If you are paying a shop, you are paying a big chunk of money for putting in a used part that may or may not be good and at best will not last as long. If you are doing it yourself, you are investing a good 8 hours of work into the job only to put in used parts. Buy all new, all good parts and do the entire job. no reason to have to do it twice.
thank you for the response! i agree and will take your advice. i might buy it off this website and ask TGM to fit. did you pay £365 also?
I paid £341.98 from Honda247 on April 2018 and got Performance Autoworks to fit it for me.
They seem to be the cheapest, maybe if you can wait until black Friday tegiwa and Htune usually has big discounts, but not too sure if they can match Honda247 prices.
They are super helpful - They are Holdcroft Honda and used to be an affiliated sponsor on the Honda Accord forum "Honda Karma" (my daily driver)
Dont forget to buy MTF transmission oil (2 litres) if you get the clutch kit. Honda247 have great prices on those and filters etc. Free delivery if you spend £25 of more I think.
