clutch
just picked up my lovely silverstone S today.
having just come from a TT, i must say the honda's gearchange is totally different, and i get the feeling it doesn't like what i used to do with my TT.
when drving the TT, i'd usually slip the clutch a little when changing up. i found that made the changes less clonky and smoother.
however, when i encountered a load of traffic on the m6 coming home, i found the changes a bit of a pain. firstly, the biting point is awkwardly high (the TT's was really low) and i found that the S doesn't appreciate any kind of slipping (applying revs before the clutch is fully released). when i pulled in for petrol the clutch burn smell was pretty bad.
so from that point on i tried to change with as little revs as possible. but i felt i was quite close to stalling it.
am i just getting the timing wrong (as i'm used to earlier bite point) or is this a common feature/issue with the S? obviously i will get used to the way it drives in time but thought it worth an ask

When you get used to where the biting point is you will be fine. I wouldn't slip the clutch either. Unless you like spending money. Sounds like you are changing gear too early. The S doesn't like low revs.
