Default Clutch

Over the past few days I have noticed, when near the bottom of depressing the clutch, a dull sort of squeeking noise is occurring. Can't think of another way of describing it. Any help appreciated.

It could be coming from your master cylinder piston connected to your clutch pedal. These can leak over time

Does the noise occur when the car is well warm? If so it could be coming from the piston on the slave cylinder, not the piston as such but the ball that pushes the release bearing, just requires a bit of moly grease, very easy to access, the longest part is jacking the car.

Are you able to tell us where the noise is roughly coming from? Get under the dash and press the pedal (you may need a friend operate the clutch with a broom or similar) to see if it's the pedal.

If there is no noise there, look at the reservoir (next to the rear of the engine, driver's side) while the same friend pushes the pedal.

What is the fluid level like?

If none of these, have your friend operate the pedal whilst you look under the car, and look at the slave cylinder, which is on the passenger side of the gearbox.

..mmmm..loftust,thanks for that, I'll need 2 friends as I would get lost under a car. It's as if a cable or something needs some grease/oil.Noise seems to come from the clutch pedal, right at the bottom of the depression, for the last few inches.

I have that effect on most people

If it's coming from the pedal area, then just get under the dash (contortionist style) and have a friend operate the pedal. If you spray each linkage point with some white grease (or WD40 if that's all you have) then you might find it goes away. A torch will be useful too.
