Default Clutch question

My car is an MY03 on a 52, does anyone know if that would have the
problematic 054 clutch fitted????

It is noisey and starting to slip.

Just read the tech section and it sounds like the 054 can be replaced with
an 055 if worded and complained about correctly.

I'm pretty sure the 054 clutch was phased out long before 03.

Doubt you'd have any luck on getting them to change it out of warranty anyway, and definitely not for slip as there is nothing wrong with the 054 clutch apart from the noise.

Most of the clutch cost is labour. You have to drop the front subframe and then you should ideally realign the suspension.

I am a mechanic so i will take this onboard to do myself, ive got a 2-post ramp
and an engine stand so this will make it easier..

Is it worth me doing a tech-thread on this job with digital pictures?

I've tried to get the clutch on my 01 changed and they have refused saying I'm not entitled to have it replaced - "only on select cars, they were changed and yours is not one of them".

Also called Honda UK and they told me that no replacement is available.

Anyone else get this answer?

Gotta be worth doing your own "Haines Manual" on the job.

There is already a clutch guide in the main forum, not sure if it has pictures though.
