Has anyone got a code reader that'll read more than just the code from a JDM? Because that's what I need.

Is "trending" a word?

That's the question. JDM isn't ODB2, but it may be ODB2 ish. Honda had trouble reading anything from it, but TGM said he could connect up his computer.

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/trending - never really thought about it but when i write SCADA apps i have trends in there .

Thats strange i thought it was the same, they must confirm to a certain ISO format.

The best bet for you is to buy this... http://www.amazon.co.uk/ELM327-Based-Diagn...59682747&sr=8-1 to trend, its the cheapest i found anywhere!, then acquire a laptop program (lots out there to trend, some free), the above item should deal with differen OBD2 formats as IIRC there are slight variations.

Or this if you dont want to use a laptop... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Diagnostic-Scanner...59682747&sr=8-4

On my mobile phone i wrote, my program trends information in a graph with time x co-ordinate and the value may it be rpm, ignition timing etc. I used the item above (bluetooth version) so i could read/reset CEL codes and trend wirelessly.

You must have the port located under passenger side dash?

Ta. I may buy the cable and see what I can do. I can always write my own software when I should be working.

Will it tell me the outputs of different sensors? That's what I want to know.

Yes of course it will tell you the outputs of the different sensors, for example coolant, MAP sensor, the two O2 sensors, TPS, most but not all of the sensors.

When you write your own software its in headers in gobbledygook, you'll then need to parse/fomat (PID's) the data, then again format into readable data so you'll have 86c for the coolant etc, also for example the Map sensor would need converted from volts into 'kPa'.

IIRC

coolant temp
ign timing
LTFT
STFT
RPM's
Map sensor
H102
H202
Mph
TPS
IAT
