I'm actually going to disagree with PL on this one!
I have the two way Nitrons.
I ran just those on my 06 with a geo reset
On my current car they are accompanied by front anti bumper steer rack spacers and that is all. No problems.
I have a set of rear control arms that will go on at the next set of tyres/geo.
I'm considering a front adjustable ARB if I find I need it when I track the car in its current configuration.
IMHO for a road car and occassional use a decent set of coilovers is enough.
ARBs in conjunction with a lowered car are better for track day use (even if occasional) rather than coilovers alone Mikey. I ran with the stock rear ARB at Rockingham and didn't like it one bit - back to the Tanabe rear ARB

I've got KW V2's on mine which were there when I bought the car. So far I've found them to be more than capable but I'm by no means as experienced as some of you guys. There's also a full compliment of braces front and rear but with oem arb's. I'm aiming towards a track orientated car so are arb's advised ? D.I. worked out to be 1.03 and weight was bang on the money with a 50.6% and 49.4% distribution. I've still got the stock 16's fitted, so which direction would be best to head in, in order to make improvements ?
In answer to the original question, as I said I've got the KW's and am impressed so far !

Dembo, do you really only have 9 clicks of adjustment? I thought you had more than that on the Bilsteins?

8 clicks (9 settings).

It's a bit strange: there's nearly a quarter of a turn between 1 and 2, and between 8 and 9, but 2-8 are close together.

The "clicks" are only a function of the adjuster knob anyway. You could score some marks in it and make it up to 16 clicks easy enough if that would make people feel better. A bit like having amps that go up to eleven.

The difference between 1 and 9 is more than substantial.

Clearly not Flintstones enough for the track though AE I think that's why 8 clicks are sufficient - not a huge amount of adjustment perhaps? (or perhaps its simply the rear springs that need to be a little stiffer)

Well yes on smooth tracks I've just put them on 1 (hardest) so I do wonder if you'd gain by being able to go beyond that. But I think you're right in that what you really want is stiffer springs. My impression (as much as it's possible to tell) is that the dampers are about the same as the Teins I had on my FTO, but those had much stiffer springs.

That's on smooth tracks like Donington and Angelsey. Around The Ring the hardest setting was a little scary over the bumps.

If anything the range is too much. On 9 (softest) they're pretty terrible and the dampers didn't seem to be able to keep the springs in check.

The Teins had 16 settings, but I'd only ever adjust them in steps of four otherwise it all gets a bit silly. Having 100,000 possible damper settings might seem like a good idea, but I'd rather just drive the thing (I know that's what PJL would say too).
