Default Coilover help

Im look to get some coilovers and I'm not really sure on what to get. I want to build my car for the tracks, so I'm looking for handling as a top priority, not too worried about the ride. I don't want to spend more than $1200 but I don't want to get something that will crap out on me.

Any suggestions?

Save more money and get a good set of coilovers is going to be my suggestion. $1200 isn't going to get you something that is going to withstand track abuse for long. If you're really fixed, gc/koni setup would be a good idea. Or Swift Spec R springs w/ koni yellows can be had for under $1000, but they are not height adjustable. Many folks will say that swift spec rs are the perfect drop at 1.25" though.

If you're really set on height adjustable coilovers, start looking at coilovers like:

Fortune 510s w/ swifts
KW v3s
Eibach R2s
Tein MonoFlex

^^^those are the bottom of the line as far as I'm concerned for track use.

Awesome info. So basically I will have to spend some cash.
I really like the Fortune auto's, I feel like that would be my best option.

Thanks for the help man.

ISC coilovers don't get a lot of press, but I have found them to work out great. They are in your price range, including springs and pillowball upper mounts. They seem more popular with the Subaru crowd.

I ran over 26 track sessions (practice, qualifying and races) with them this last year and they performed flawlessly.
