Cold air feed DIY
Thought will show you guys of my idea of cold air feed,
i had already modded my airbox previously.
Hacking required to get the tube through to the bay from the wheel arch.

Duct tape to secure the tube to the opening on the bumper

Feed the tube up to the airbox

Hack the airbox

Installed

I then taped up the original opening to test it out, so it only draws air from the tube.

Did that a few years back but added a second on the end of the box taking air from gap at side of rad, if you can access my photo's you should be able to see it
If I'm not mistaken the size of tube you have used is smaller than the inlet size and couple that with the friction losses of the ridged flex pipe its more likely to strangle the airflow at high rpm

At low speed you'll be hindering, but as soon as you are above 60mph, you'll be benefiting from a ram air affect.
I'd replace the pipe with something smoother, slightly bigger bore and get a nice duct for the front.
7/10 from me - good effort that just needs some finishing off

I played around with lots of ideas and the oem box is very good, my last idea which never got tested due to going FI was the oem box with spoon mod to internal baffles, I was then going to have some fire retardant high density foam laser cut to make a box in front of the oem intake so when the bonnet was closed it effectively made a sealed chamber being fed cold air from the slots in the plastic air shield at front of rad, for good measure I would have changed the rubber elbow from filter to TB for the smooth wall samco item
Nothing fancy just making the most out of an already good design
I recon with the right colour and density of foam with good smooth cut edges it would look as if it came as standard

But you won't prove it - DYNO errors will mask any small gain or loss. The PRM I have is bolted right up to the wing so there's no hot air from the engine bay getting sucked into the inlet.
As for RAM effect, you'd need a bigger air trap and you'd need to be going far faster than NSL to have any appreciable measurable effect. It will suck far more than you can 'blow'.
