Thumbs up Collecting a hardtop and stand....

I'm hoping to collect a hardtop and stand today - does anyone have a clue if it's likely to fit in the back of an Audi A3?

If I went for put the roof on my car option, any idea if the stand would fit in the boot?!

TIA

Doubt the top will.

It will fit on the S though, and the stand will collapse to go in the boot.

Great thanks for the quick reply - I hope the guy can give me a hand to get the rear fitting brackets installed then!
It's a 70 mile trip back so I don't fancy it being held on with only the front strickers...

The top definitely wont I have a GT and an S3 it wont fit

The stand will if you put the seats down in fact there's not alot of cars the hard top would fit into, it certainly wouldn't fit in to a Volvo V70, I think it might fit in a Galaxy or similar

Bungee rope the rear of the hardtop down. Loads of people have done that on here with no problems

Yep, drove over 200miles and over 100 with bungees, you'll be fine.
Hardop carriage you'll need a good sized van minimum.
Mine wont go in the new Passat estate

It's possible to collect both in the S.

Cheers for the info, I decided not to go for it after speaking to the seller it seems that the sale doesn't include the fitting kit (even though the ad said it did....)

Nevermind, quest continues to find a hardtop and fitting kit somewhere in the South East for under a grand, someone must wanna sell me theirs!

Exchange rate is putting me off getting one from USA, not sure what the postage would be and knowing my luck I'd get stung for import TAX.
