Well guys

I returned from Miami and look what a I got........ a Red SC S2000

After thinking a lot, ans asking a lot too!!!! to find a way to increase about 40 CV on my S2000 I decided to buy an used Comptech SC, NA route it would be nice but expensive and difficult to find someone to install the toda cams and a EMS.

Following Ultimate lucker's recommendation bought a SC which is almost plug and play and reliable.

after 200 km I will try to do a summary of my impressions: WOW!!!!!! This car is really fast I have reached 265 km/h where previously I ran 220 km/h.

I can feel tons of torque, recuperations are really fast at 3000 rpm in 5th the revs like a stock S2000 in vtec zone in 4th.

riding on the city is very easy and smooth, perfect ilde, acceleration as a big NA engine there is no kick of boost....

I am really happy, just want to see the face of my dealer next time I go for a revision (next April)

This is the first SC'ed S2000 in Spain and the first NA with a FI Kit. tunnig here in Spain is just for "bling bling"

Sorry for my English, feel free to correct me, is the only way to learn more, since in Miami is impossible so speak English :-))))

Nice - been thinking of this mod myself. How long did the installation take ? Did you sneak this back in your suitcase, or declare it ?

The SC ws shipped before I went ot Miami. Shipping cost was $300.

Since was well packed and shipped via UPS custums duties was not very high since I declare $500 value

Installation was not very dufficult, just the fuel pump it is a bit hard due to all the work involved, iti is situated below the soft top.

I had to take off the dirver rollbar and the seat to work comfortly.

Installation was 10 hours.

Congrats! This has been a while coming.

I've been enjoying my SC for a few months now and never get tired of it. I will soon complete an E-manage/injectors install. The next step is an Aftercooler (will make myself) and smaller pulley.

The nice thing about the SC is that the car runs just like it did before but the high end is so much higher. You do end up driving in higher gears much of the time.

The only thing you have to get used to is those sudden reflex moves. Like when you see an opening and dart out with your foot to the floor. The rear likes to break loose and surprise the hell out of you.

I like it Juan! Tell me, what else do you need to do to the car if you install a SC? e.g. presumably a reinforced differential and clutch plates are necessary? I know that Cameron spent a small fortune on the Macamobile here in the UK and I'm not sure who much of the spend was encessitated by the SC and how much was additional "bling bling"

You don't necessarily have to do anything else. Of course you could kill you clutch or your differential if you abuse it but many are running completely stock and having no problems.
