Default Confession

All,

It saddens me to have to admit to you, but I have done you all wrong.

I can only apologise for my actions, and offer to you my heart-felt apologies.

I would say it wasn't my fault, but it was - wholly and unreservedly.

I was overtaken by a Ford Capri this evening.

In my defence, it did have the words low, loud and sorted written across the back window and I was too busy laughing...

Please forgive me

Alex.

Wow! - that's quite some confession to make Alex - I think you're probably going to need therapy to get over this, so get out on those roads asap, find some Porsche Boxters, and kick their butts.

I think people are going to make fun of s2ks on the Ford Capri Forum

They're going to say stuff like-

Ford Capris are very fast
Ford Capris are speed demons
Ford Capris are able to qualify for speed records
Ford Capris can do anything
Sports Cars BEWARE
Sports Cars---don't try to race one

Nah, dont worry about it Alex - a few months ago I was left for dead by a totally knackered Montego Diesel Estate.

My only defense is that I was driving through Crawley late one very wet night and was being jolly careful (read 'wussy') around the roundabouts!

If it was being driven like Bodie and Doyle used to drive theirs in the Professionals, then you're forgiven
Seeing as its confession time...I was overtaken by two lads in a white Fiesta the other week, my excuse is that I was only 1/2 mile out of my garage, the car/oil wasn't warmed up yet and I didn't want to strain anything Never seen another driver smile so wide!, I think it made their day

Please tell me it was a 2.8i special (with nitrous) and not the old late 70's 1300's!
(most of which are still trying to get to 60mph - and the block is soooo small you can sit next to it in the engine bay!!!!

My mate used to have a 2.8i, but he did play with his ALOT!
Installed a turbo, fitted smaller wheels, as well as sh*t loads of other stuff under the bonnet.
STILL one of the fastest cars I have ever been in, in it's time was very nice, re-enacting the professionals , those were the days............then I found the S2000

Yep he went from 15" to 13".
Smaller wheels means faster 0-60, but lower top end, bigger wheels the reverse effect.
As I said he would do anything to get his car to go quicker, no matter how smaller
