Default Continuing Saga

After a list of cockups involving the carpet on my brand new S , the dealer finally done the right thing and ordered a new one. Got the call , went there at 7.45 this morning whilst they changed it and attempted to sort my alarm problem.

At 9am a sheepish manager creeps over , with a black carpet in his hand i knew it before he said a word. It was obvious you see, as my interior is RED . Unfortunately they had stripped out the seat and the old before they went to the stores

So , he can get a red one for Thursday and refitted my old one . WTF is next

It actually gets worse ,

my alarm was replaced with a new unit a couple of weeks ago, that one had just about zero range for the remotes , so today they fitted another new magic box , the range was much improved .

But.........

When the dealer inspected the new board , it was in fact the old one taken out of my car and had been "fixed" and returned to them as a new unit ( thery had marked it ). Time will tell , but this is the box that caused the car to grind to a halt on 2 occaisions when the immobiliser packed up .

When Monty Python came up with this in the seventies, it was considered absurd humour.

When did it become reality?

No City Honda Basingstoke .
I should have realised from the moment they cocked the locating peg and mat up on day one . It shows an error of judgement by me to let it continue , i could feel tears of frustration coming when i realised it wasnt a wind up .

I mentioned to the manager that surely , when you start any job , you assemble the required parts at your side . I suspect someone is going to get a kicking over this .
3.5 hours of my time just wasted, i insisted on taking the car in and waiting for it this time ,as last time they cocked up and covered the red interior in a contrasting grease .

Oh well , the new carpet is delivered on Thursday , just got to pluck up the courage to risk them with it again .
Had the car for 1 month and 1 day and there hasnt been a day where there hasnt been a problem with it .
